The goal is to involve children in small and simple acts of kindness in our homes, neighbourhood and communities. An act of Kindness can change someone’s day, make someone feel loved, inspire goodness and in turn shift our outlook towards life.
Acts may involve creating a craft and giving it to someone, feeding a cow, or just smiling and saying hello to people at the supermarket. It’s to develop a behaviour of serving/helping others.
Tied up with the Delhi Food Banking Network and organized a food drive with the children of #100DeedsOfKindness as volunteers. The total food collected through the kindness mascots is approx. 1400kgs. After the food was collected the children went and served the food to the kids in the shelter.
A visit to the fire station was organized to introduce children to the real life heroes. This gave them the opportunity to understand and imbibe values like commitment, sacrifice and bravery.
Children visited an old age home where they met and spoke with the inmates. The children brought in a wave of freshness and spread some cheer in the otherwise dreary lives of the old and abandoned citizens.
‘Umang’ The Sports day with a difference. Organized by the mascots of #100DeedsOfKindness for the underserved children, the event saw enthusiastic participation of over 150 children and adults who accompanied them.
Everybody has the potential to change the world. Our Kindness Ambassadors are the heroes of our organization. They live and breathe kindness, share knowledge and lead by example. You can tell where they’ve been because they leave a trail of warm-and-fuzzy feelings in their wake.
